Liz White

Community Liason

Liz is a wife and mother to 3 young children. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in music from Florida State University.

Liz has worked as an auditor and then a tax accountant during the day and played the French horn for the Sarasota Pops Orchestra and Venice Symphony in the evening.

After becoming a mom, she went back to school to obtain an elementary education and middle school math teaching certification and worked at her two older sons’ preschool. Liz coordinated with the Sarasota Orchestra to have them visit the preschool and teach the children all about the orchestral instruments and music that she holds near and dear to her heart. The school still enjoys ties with the orchestra today.

With all 3 of her children now in school, Liz donates her time to serving as the Water Smart Tots Foundation Liason to Sarasota and Manatee Counties. When Liz isn’t diving into volunteering, work, or her family, she can be found writing short stories and is currently working on publishing her first illustrated story.
