Briana was born and raised in Tampa, Fl. After high school, she attend the University of Florida where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education and Behavior in 2010. After graduating, she earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing and a few years later she obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida in 2017.
Briana worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital on the pediatric medical-surgical unit while attending graduate school. Briana also has prior experience working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Currently, Briana has been practicing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since March 2018 in the specialty area of pediatric neurology with a special interest in neurobehavioral disorders. She also works for the University of South Florida as an adjunct faculty for the College of Nursing Graduate Program.
